I am Deidre Mills, author of Daughters of the King: Boldly Rising Up as Warriors for the Kingdom of God. But before I ever wrote a book, before I ever started ministering to women, I was a woman desperately in need of God’s mercy.
For many years, I chased the world’s definition of success. I lived for the bigger house, the nicer car, the image of having it all together. I thought those things would fill the emptiness inside me. Pride, materialism, and selfish ambition drove me—yet underneath it all, my soul was still starving.
And then came a moment that shattered me.
I had been given custody of my granddaughter because of my daughter’s addiction to methamphetamines. One ordinary day, in the middle of chores and distractions, my grandson—only nine years old at the time—ran up to me and said, “Alora has a rope. I think she’s going to find a tree.”
Time stood still. That moment broke me open. I realized that all the things I had been striving for meant nothing if the generations entrusted to me were drowning in despair. My pride couldn’t save me. My possessions couldn’t rescue my family. Only Jesus could. You see, he used a nine year old boy to save My grand-daughter's life.
It was in that desperate place of brokenness that the Lord began to rebuild me—piece by piece, heart by heart.
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, He took my brokenness and gave me new wings of faith. Now, my mission is to call women out of the shadows and into their true identity as beloved daughters and bold warriors for the Kingdom.
You are chosen. You are loved. And you were created to rise.
THE MISSION

Every woman carries a story. And for many of us, those stories have been marked with labels—some spoken over us, some silently carried in our hearts. Words like not enough, unworthy, forgotten, broken.
But those labels are not who we are.
The heart of this ministry is to help women lay down those false names and step into their true identity as beloved daughters of the King. To exchange the lies of the world for the truth of the Word.
Because when we see ourselves the way our Father sees us, everything changes.
-
He calls us chosen (1 Peter 2:9).
-
He calls us fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
-
He calls us redeemed (Isaiah 43:1).
-
He calls us His (Isaiah 43:1).
When we shed the old labels, we make room to rise into the identity He has already given us. We begin to walk with courage, with purpose, with freedom. And in that place of freedom, we step fully into our Kingdom calling—not striving, but resting in who He has made us to be.
This mission is to create a safe space for women to discover that truth. To equip them with God’s Word, surround them with community, and remind them that they are not defined by what the world has said, but by what the Lord has spoken.
Because your true identity has always been this:
You are a daughter. You are dearly loved. And you were created to rise.
